Member Platform Terms
Last updated September 4, 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms govern your use of Taikan's website, mobile application and member services (the Platform). They form an agreement between you and Taikan concerning the Platform only.
The gym, studio, trainer or other fitness business named on your join page (the Organization) is independent from Taikan. The Organization provides the classes, facilities, coaching and membership you purchase. Your plan summary, order confirmation and the Organization's regulations form the commercial agreement between you and the Organization. Taikan is not the provider of those fitness services.
2. Joining and your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep your sign-in credentials and verification codes private. Your account is personal and may not be transferred.
- Review the plan price, billing frequency, start date, benefits, booking rules and cancellation terms before joining.
- If you join more than one Organization, each Organization's plan and regulations apply separately.
A minor may use the Platform or enter a paid membership only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian and subject to any age, health-declaration and parental-approval requirements imposed by law and by the Organization. A person accepting for a minor confirms that they are authorized to do so.
3. Documents that apply
These Member Platform Terms apply together with Taikan's Privacy Policy and Fitness and Health Acknowledgement. The Organization may also require you to sign its plan regulations, health declaration or other document. Taikan records the document version, time, Organization and available technical evidence of your electronic acceptance.
If documents conflict, mandatory law prevails. The Organization's plan terms govern the fitness service and price; these terms govern use of the Platform. A term cannot remove a right that the law does not permit you to waive.
4. Fitness, health and safety
Taikan supplies software and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or physical supervision. Exercise carries inherent risks. Follow the Organization's safety instructions, use equipment only as instructed and stop exercising and seek appropriate help if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or another concerning symptom.
Where the Fitness Institutes (Licensing and Supervision) Law or another law applies, participation may depend on the required health questionnaire, declaration, medical certificate and, for a minor, parental consent. The Organization is responsible for deciding what is required, reviewing it and preventing participation where the law requires. Taikan may process a declaration submitted through the Platform as described in the Privacy Policy and on the form itself.
5. Bookings and conduct
Booking, wait-list, late-cancellation, no-show, credit and attendance rules are shown by the Organization in the relevant plan, class or regulations. Availability is not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed. The Organization may make reasonable schedule, instructor, location or capacity changes and is responsible for the fitness service it ultimately provides.
Do not misuse the Platform, impersonate another person, interfere with security or availability, scrape data, upload unlawful or harmful material, or infringe another person's privacy or rights. Follow the Organization's lawful safety and conduct rules.
6. Who receives and processes payment
The Organization is the merchant and seller of your membership. When payment is offered through Taikan, Taikan sends payment instructions on the Organization's behalf to a regulated third-party payment provider. Payment funds settle directly to the Organization; Taikan does not hold member funds. Card details are entered into and stored by the payment provider. The Organization is responsible for the price, transaction, tax invoice or receipt, service, cancellation and refund.
Some Organizations bill outside Taikan. In that case the separate External Payment Responsibility Acknowledgement applies when shown during joining.
7. Recurring plans and authorization
By purchasing a recurring plan, you authorize the Organization, using its payment provider and Taikan where applicable, to charge the displayed amount at the displayed frequency until the plan ends or cancellation takes effect. The order screen or confirmation must identify the Organization, the total or periodic price, billing frequency, start date, material plan limits and how to cancel. A material price or plan change applies only after the notice and consent required by law.
A failed or reversed payment does not itself cancel a membership. The Organization may request another payment method and may suspend paid benefits while an amount remains due, subject to mandatory law and its disclosed plan terms.
8. Cancellation, final charge and refunds
You may send a cancellation notice through Taikan's cancellation tool and through every channel the Organization is required to provide. The Organization must display its legal identity, contact details and available cancellation channels in the plan, written transaction record and receipts as required by law. Taikan timestamps an in-Platform notice and makes it available to the Organization; the Organization remains responsible for honoring it.
For an uncommitted rolling monthly gym plan billed through Taikan, cancellation takes effect one calendar month after the Organization receives the written notice, unless the plan gives you an earlier date or mandatory law requires an earlier date. You retain the paid plan benefits through the effective date. There is no commitment-based cancellation fee for an uncommitted rolling plan.
- If the effective date falls after the current paid-through date, the next full renewal is replaced by one proportional final charge covering only the period from the paid-through date until the effective date.
- If you have paid beyond the effective date, the Organization must return or cancel the proportional excess, subject to mandatory law.
- No recurring membership charge may be made for a period after the effective date.
Fixed-term memberships, class packs, drop-ins, distance transactions and legally protected populations may have different statutory rights, deadlines and permitted fees. Those rights apply in full. Nothing here reduces the Consumer Protection Law, including any right to cancel a distance transaction, receive a proportional refund or use a cancellation channel required by law.
9. Payment questions and disputes
Contact the Organization first about a membership charge, refund, receipt, class or service. Contact Taikan at support@usetaikan.com about a Platform error or an incorrect Platform record. A payment provider or card issuer may apply its own verification, reversal and dispute procedures. Using those procedures does not remove either party's obligations under applicable law.
10. Privacy and communications
Taikan processes personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. The Organization separately determines why it collects information for its fitness business and is responsible for its own notices and lawful use. Health information requires particular care and is collected only where the relevant form and stated purpose require it.
Service messages necessary for your account, booking, payment, safety or cancellation are not marketing. Marketing and optional analytics require the separate choice presented for that purpose; accepting these terms does not itself subscribe you to marketing.
11. Platform content and availability
Taikan and its licensors own the Platform software, design and Taikan content. You receive a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable right to use the Platform while your account is active. The Organization or its licensors own the workouts, media and instructions they upload. Do not copy or distribute content except where the Platform or rights holder permits it.
Taikan may maintain, secure and update the Platform. Temporary interruptions can occur. Taikan will not intentionally remove a paid entitlement merely because the Platform is unavailable and will correct verified Platform records in accordance with applicable law.
12. Responsibility and non-waivable rights
The Organization is responsible for its premises, staff, instruction, equipment, scheduling, membership promises and compliance as the fitness-service provider and merchant. Taikan is responsible for obligations imposed on Taikan by law and for the parts of the Platform under its control. Neither party is responsible for the other's independent acts merely because the Organization uses Taikan.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for bodily injury, an intentional act, a statutory duty, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The Fitness and Health Acknowledgement records awareness of inherent exercise risks; it is not a waiver of negligence or mandatory safety duties.
13. Suspension, termination and changes
Taikan may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, security or the Platform, respond to legal requirements, or address a material breach. Where practical, Taikan will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Account restriction does not decide or erase a payment or refund obligation between you and the Organization.
Taikan may update these terms. The current version and publication date will remain available. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, Taikan will request acceptance of the new version before continued use where required.
14. Governing law and contact
Israeli law governs these terms. Disputes may be brought before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law; these terms do not restrict a consumer's mandatory venue rights.
